JOB PURPOSE:
Design, enhance, and maintain all aspects of the Midco Business Network.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Engineer and design the Business Network to meet customer demand.
- Leads technical projects, upgrades, and deployments.
- Support, maintain and upgrade existing Business Network. Install new hardware to stay ahead of customer demand.
- Execute test plans to facilitate vendor selection for new Business product offerings.
- Develop MOPs and tools to ease the deployment of new service orders and network configurations.
- Evaluate new vendor hardware and software.
- Work on customer trouble tickets and resolve outages on the Business Network.
- Work with vendors for design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Mentor intra/inter-departmental peers.
- Use knowledge and analytics to improve the Business network and processes.

- Cisco hardware and software knowledge.
- Knowledge on packet capture setup and analysis.

- Working knowledge of network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, OSI Model, IPv4, IPv6, SIP, IP Video, ACL’s, Spanning Tree, MP-BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, MPLS, MPLS-TE, L2VPN, L3VPN, H-QoS, SD-WAN and transport technologies.
- Working knowledge of network monitoring and management tools including, SolarWinds, AKIPS, WAE, NSO, NETCONF, YANG, syslog and telemetry.
- Must be able to travel when necessary.

JOB PURPOSE:

JOB PURPOSE:
The Technical Facilities Engineer is a critical role for maintaining Midco’s facilities. This position is responsible for planning, building, coordinating, and maintaining the technical facilities portfolio and helps keep Midco as a leading internet service provider in the Midwest.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure that structures are physically sound and capable of supporting the electronic equipment housed within it. Facility must meet all local, state and federal codes.
- Confirm that facilities have sufficient cooling and heating to keep the temperature at an acceptable and constant range at all times and in all areas of the facility and within racks.
- Ensure that buildings have sufficient available power including Generator and UPS loads. The electrical system needs to be stable and conditioned with proper grounding and surge suppression.
- Confirm that the correct power is available to support new equipment as it is installed.
- Ensure buildings have the proper security in place to prevent unauthorized access and is well lit.
- Budget, design, and manage projects related to technical facilities.
- Ensure facilities have sufficient means for suppression of fires.
- Manage the installation of racks and raceway.
- Develop, expand and improve the existing procedures and practices to continually incorporate the latest findings, highest standards and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
- Work closely with the NOC to ensure critical parameters are being monitored by the NOC.
- Provide training to those that manage the day-to-day operation of the sites and those that work at the sites on all relevant systems.
- Perform technical facility site audits.
- Manage vendor relationships relating to facilities management. This includes, but is not limited to electrical, UPS, HVAC, generators, plumbing, snow removal, lawn care, garbage service, security service, and parking lot maintenance.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with the Technical Facilities Manager regarding any potential or outstanding problems or issues.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair to services on Midco’s regional network.
- Sweep and balance the regional network to detect and/or correct imperfections.
- Identify areas in need of service and repair including, but not limited to adjustment and alignment of equipment used for signal processing, amplification, and transmission.
- Take appropriate preventive measures to repair and maintain the regional network in customer homes and commercial property from the Headend.
- Demonstrate proficiency in and working knowledge of several areas of network systems; recognize deviations and distinguish them from accepted practices.
- Repair and maintain equipment, network systems and all components.
- Ensure that all documentation is timely and accurate and in compliance with FCC and company regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair ingress and egress problems in the regional network including, but not limited to transmission levels, signal loss, off-air interference and equipment failures.
- Maintain signal performance by proactively testing the network on a regular basis.
- Install, maintain and repair power supplies and provide splicing and activation of the regional network.
- Provide technical support and guidance by assisting with the resolution of installation or service problems encountered at customer sites.
- Install and disconnect video, internet, and telephone services in customer homes and commercial property as needed.
- Repair and/or wire cable from poles/pedestals into customer homes and commercial property; wire additional outlets as needed.
- Complete Midco First Time Right certification within 90 days of hire. Consistently apply First Time Right principles in all aspects of work.
- Possess knowledge of Midco’s safety program (Target Zero), practice and enforce safety rules and procedures; operate all equipment in a safe manner.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Sourcing Coordinator will be the liaison for cross functional teams in the execution of the different phases of the product (part) life cycle to support Midco’s strategic initiatives. You will help the organization achieve its goals through finding sourcing solutions for products at the ideal cost and quality. KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Manage data throughout the part life cycle to include item creation, attributes, and end of life planning and execution.
- Monitor item data integrity within various procurement and supply chain systems and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Works with vendors and internal team members to qualify new products (parts).
- Coordinate vendor, RFQ and RFI process, in support of the procurement strategy and business goals.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team and other internal stakeholders to conduct thorough RFPs and provide analysis on vendor submittals.
- Pull data to support the evaluation process of vendor performance.
- Partner with leadership to preform benchmark analysis to identify potential cost gaps and risk across commodities.
- Align strategy and tactical plans on product transitions with Operations, Finance, and Safety.
- Assist with the communication to stakeholders on introduction, modification, or discontinuation of products including transition of part numbers, the use of inventory and ordering expectations.
- Assist leadership with oversite of project tasks to support completion of initiatives through clear communication of expectations and escalating issues to leadership when they arise.
- Provide data and analysis to support re-negotiations of business and/or service agreements.

- Six Sigma/ Lean certification or exposure to these methodologies preferred.
- Telecommunications experience preferred.
